La Grange 1813, an old building of character restored, a favorite!

Description

Nestled in the picturesque district of Carroz, among the first buildings of Chesières and Villars, you will discover this former agricultural barn erected in 1813 on two levels and a living area of 200 m², listed in the heritage of the Commune, completely transformed and renovated into contemporary and atypical housing. The restoration of the barn was carried out in 2014 by the local architectural firm Pierre-Claude and Eric Thevenaz. The owners respected its original aspect by using its old wood and local stones for its interior and exterior facade.

On the ground floor, a large fully tiled entrance hall leads to two bedrooms highlighted by oiled solid oak floors and benefiting from access to the garden on the west side and two en suite bathrooms. On the same floor, a large office that can be transformed into an additional bedroom with en suite shower room (all pipes and drains are provided). A technical room with laundry room, washing machine and Miele dryer are already installed on site.

A comfortable wooden staircase leads directly into the large double living room under the roof with a magnificent old beams, as well as a solid oak parquet oiled on the entire floor.

A dining area with a large open kitchen is fully equipped with a large central island. A skylight brings light on the work surface thanks to a triple remote controlled velux. The lounge side with fireplace (insert and ventilation for auxiliary heating) is separated by a part of wall with opening, entirely in old plank dating from the original construction.

The mezzanine, still with solid oak parquet, is open to the double living room and can be used as an office, TV room, or additional bedroom.
