Construction
Construction
Archaeologists have never been able to pinpoint exactly when the old village was founded, but it is believed to date from between 1221 and 1254. This building underwent its biggest renovation in 1984. Restored with the utmost care, the property has retained its period charm while incorporating the amenities necessary for modern life. The property’s pristine wood panelling, metal door dating back more than 1,000 years, murals, fireplaces and ceramic stoves bear witness to medieval life as it was lived then. A highly discreet lift serves the property’s four floors for the comfort of residents. An intercom is also available on each floor. Finally, the heating is generated by a heat pump and distributed via radiators. The current owners will connect to the gas at their own expense before their departure.
